Took a marathon wander around London today with my friend Mike and went back to the Banksy Crude Oils exhibition to get some better pictures. Here's the first of many to be posted on artofthestate.

If you can have a favourite war memorial then I'm choosing this one - the Battle of Britain monument on the North Bank of the Thames by the Ministry of Defence.

A quick trip out tonight to see Banksy's new Crude Oil's show and Dirty Love at the Vibe Bar in Brick Lane (more of that night tomorrow). Banksy's show has about 25 paintings in a small shop (100 Westbourne Grove, London W2). From the Times: "It's been a month of solid work" (Banksy) moans. "I won't be doing it again in a hurry. But scarily enough I've enjoyed actually quite enjoyed it. I can see why people do it - when they've retired"
